The following are the steps required to configured this integration in the Sureview interface.

Before you begin

Before you configure Sureview to work with SendWordNow make sure you have the following:

• Open ports on your Sureview server
• Username and password of your SendWordNow account

Extra Value/ Parameters

Extra value text is used to provide parameter suggestions for notification sending notification through site monitor and creating notification templates. Parameters are then used as flags to enable or disabled functionality when sending a notification.

Please note that for devices added via Sync, you will need to make the changes on the Sync System and wait for them to propagate across (This may take up to 12 hours). If you make changes on the site device, it will be overwritten on the next sync.

The extra value parameters supported by Sureview are displayed in the table below.

*** Only 1 Voice and Text can be used as a parameter for a message. If you wish to contact multiple labels then you need to separate them by a /. e.g To send a text message to two labels you would need to create a parameter called Text~label1/label2 instead of Text~label1 and Text~label2 ***

Example (Text, Voice, Conference, GWB)

Adding the following to the extra value:

Text~Work Email/Work SMS,Text~Personal Email,Voice~Work Cell/Home Cell,ConferenceCall,GWB:Yes|No

Will give the result:

Selecting “Test~Work Email” will send the message to the selected contacts email which they have attached to the Work Email label in send word now.

Selecting “Voice~WorkCell/HomeCell” will send the message as a voice message to the number they have attached to the “Work Cell” and “Home Cell” labels in send word now.

Selecting “ConferenceCall” will message or call the contact (Dependant on “Voice~” or “Test~” options) with the conference call details.

Selecting “GWB:Yes|no” will send the message to the user and ask them for a response. This response can be viewed on the send word now website under Tracking, Message History, then selecting the message from the list.

Example (Override Sender, Phone, Email)

Adding the following to the extra value:

Sender:Sureview Test,SenderPhone:0123456789,SenderEmail:Sureviewtest@sureviewsystems.com,

Will give the result:

Selecting these 3 will add them to the email message received. If it is a voice or SMS message only the Sender name will be used.

Adding a user

A user will need to be added in Sureview and connected to the device to allow the sending of messages.To add a user you must first have added the device to Sureview.

Go to Setup, Add a user then select the site where you added the device.On the user creation page The External System ID is the GROUP of the contact on the SWN page (See Groups)

 

 

Notification Server	This is the device name in Sureview
External System ID	This is the Group name in SWN. See Groups

Site Syncing (Feature compatible license required)

Site Syncing will allow for Sureview to automatically get the groups from your SWN account and add them as users to Sureview.

Sync >> Sync Systems >> Add Sync System

 

Once the device has been added to Site Syncing you will need to Go to Sync >> Sync Entries >> Add Sync Entry

Sync System	Name of the device you want to sync
Identifier	SWN username

Creating a Template

Templates can be attached to alarms or assigned to a script step. The subject and parameters of a message template cannot be edited when in use on the site monitor.

Go to System Settings >> Notification Templates

The message template will now appear in site monitor when you select the device.

Placeholders

Placeholder can be used in the message body to attach event information to the message.

{SiteName}	The name of the site in Sureview where this message will be sent from
{EventName}	The name of the first event record entry that occurred for this event.
{EventTime}	The time that the first event record entry was created.
{EventID}	The unique identifier of the event.
