Overview
The Views Maps Plugin allows you to add a tile that contains a map to your view. This will show all of your layers and mapped assets globally. Your external map layers can also be made visible here.
NOTE: Each view can only contain one map tile.
Prerequisites
In order to use the maps plugin, you must:
- Have "Views" enabled within your license.
- Have the "Views" feature enabled within your Feature Setup.
- Have the "View" and/or "Interact" permissions for Views > Map Plugin.
Installation
You must install the latest released version of the "Views Maps Plugin" from within the setup application.
Usage
The map plugin behaves slightly differently to the map on the event queue in that doesn't show you where triggered alarms are but rather gives you an overview of where your assets are located, provided they have been mapped.
You can search for both assets and addresses by expanding the search tab in the top left.
You can also change the map between Road, Satellite, Terrain and Hyrbid.
Filters control what assets which assets are hidden and which are visible.
External map layers can also be shown/hidden using the "Layers" menu.
The map can be placed in either "Single Mode" or "Party Mode". Single mode allows the user to control what they see on the map. Party mode allows the owner to control the map and will update the maps of everyone sharing the view.
