Required Feature Flag: Alarms / MediaMatrix /ManualRaise
Similar to the existing Manual Raise functionality, a Camera Manual Raise can be triggered from a live video feed within the Media Matrix or Views. This feature is intended for situations where an operator may be already processing an event, and sees further suspicious activity on one of their cameras; they can then perform a Manual Raise via the Camera and have the new event be handled by another operator within the system.
Prerequisites
In order to use the Manual Raise dialog from a Camera, it must first be enabled. The feature that you need to enable depends upon where you wish to be able to perform a Camera Manual Raise. The feature is supported in the Media Matrix, and within Views. The feature flags for these are as follows:
- Media Matrix - Alarms -> Media Matrix -> ManualRaise
- Views - Views -> ManualRaise
Note: Features are controlled by your SureView Administrator, and may be dependent on your license. Please contact them for further information on enabling/disabling this feature.
Usage
Firstly, the user must be on a screen where Camera's are visible, such as the Media Matrix. To access the Manual Raise dialog click the bell icon (indicated below) in the Camera related to our new event:
The dialog itself is very similar to the one accessed through the Event Queue, with some minor differences. There is no way to 'auto-claim' the event once raised, it will be placed into the Event Queue for another operator to pick up, and the Area field will be automatically populated with the location of the Camera used to raise the alarm.
Complete the fields within the dialog as necessary, and click "OK". The event will have been raised and is now available to be picked up from the Event Queue.
Including Camera Footage with the Event
When performing a Manual Raise from a Camera, V2 also supports attaching footage to the new event. This is useful for situations where an operator is already mid-processing an event, sees something occur on a Camera, and wants to create a new event with the footage they saw attached.
The video attached to the event will include a single clip of footage as seen by the operator, beginning at most 30 seconds prior to the moment they click the Manual Raise icon within the Camera. The footage will be taken from the Camera used to perform the Manual Raise.
Enabling Camera Recording
Required Feature Flag:: Alarms / MediaMatrix / Recording
In order to enable this feature, much like the Camera Manual Raise, it must be enabled. Also like the Camera Manual Raise, this feature can be enabled/disabled separately for both the Media Matrix and Views.
- Media Matrix - Alarms -> MediaMatrix -> ManualRaise -> Recording
- Views - Views -> ManualRaise -> Recording
Requirements
Camera Recording will increase the amount of resources used by V2 on the client, as the footage is stored on the operators machine to ensure we capture what the operator sees. The amount by which V2 increases its resource usage depends on the number of cameras you have open, and the quality of each cameras video feed.
