Media Matrix automatically populates the grid with the most relevant live cameras, based on the camera's location on the map and any "linked camera" alarm associates.
Live footage is distinguished by the blue border surrounding the cell.
The Live Camera Cell has additional controls that appear when the cursor hovers over the window.
- Camera Playback Controls
Required Feature Flag: Alarms / MediaMatrix / Playback
Allows the user to request archived footage from the device. Once clicked you get extra controls to pick the Date/Time that you want to play - Live Reset
Allows the user to switch back to live video after viewing "playing" footage - Zoom Out / In Controls
Digital or Physical Zoom controls (Depending on the PTZ Mode Selected) - Reset Digital PTZ
Resets the Digital PTZ to centre
Note: This affects the viewer only, it does not control the on site device - Technical Statistics
Displays the stream statistics including: Data Rate, Encoding Type & Resolution - Manual Raise
Allows the operator to trigger a "Manual Raise" alarm directly from the camera window. This can be useful if the operator spots suspicious activity on the camera and would like to bring it to the attention of the SOC - More Details - Live / Playback indicator
This reports of the camera is streaming "Live Video" or is streaming "Playback Footage" from a specific Date & Timer - Camera Settings
This allows the operator to choose the Camera Stream Quality and the PTZ Mode:
Digital PTZ - the PTZ controls are client side only and does not affect the physical camera
Physical PTZ - The PTZ commands are sent to the camera to physical move the field of view - Pan/Tilt controls
This allows the operator to move the camera. This can be Physical or Digital depending on the PTZ mode selected - Full Screen
Allows the operator to enlarge the camera view - Close
Disconnects the camera stream
- Snapshot
Take a video image snapshot (using the Camera icon) which will download locally as a JPG image file. The image file will also be saved to the FileStore with an associated Event Record so it can be downloaded as needed.
To use the snapshot feature, the following feature flag and permission must be enabled:
Feature flag - Alarms -> MediaMatrix -> SnapShot
Permission - Media Matrix -> CanPerformMatrixSnapshot
Cameras Menu
The Cameras Menu is split into foursections that can be collapsed / expanded and searched as required
- Search
- Current Streams
- Nearby
- Area Cameras ("Hawthrone House" in the screenshot examples)
Search
The Search box allows the operator to search by "Camera Name" across the entire SureView platform. The search results will priorities cameras that are near by before searching further afield.
This means that if there are multiple "Entrance" camera the search results will show the closest "Entrance" camera in the results list first.
Current Streams
Required Feature Flag: Alarms / MediaMatrix / OpenCameraList
The Current Streams menu shows all cameras that are currently being streamed in the Media Matrix window. There is a positioning icon that represents where on the screen the camera is displayed and if the camera location is available it also displays the distance the camera is from the centre of the "Spotlight" in the Alarm Map Screen (by default this will be the alarm location)
Nearby
The Nearby list will show all the cameras that are within the Spotlight circle in the Alarm Map screen. The cameras need to me mapped (have a location) to be available in this list.
Any cameras highlighted in blue are already streaming in the Media Matrix. If a camera is not highlighted it means it is not being shown on the screen
Area
The Area List will be labelled as the Area Name (is the screenshot examples "Hawthorne House" and will list all cameras that are part of the current Area. This allows operators to quickly scroll through the cameras and find any one that may be useful.
