Leaving and Ending an event are two different ways to conclude site monitor.
Leave
Leaving an event will return you to the screen you opened site monitor from without closing the event. There are four possible options when leaving an event depending on the situation and enabled features
- Straight to queue
Leaving an event without ticking the "Park Event" option will immediately return the alarm back to the main alarm queue for another operator to process - Park Event
Ticking the "Park Event" option will allow you to enter a time (hours & minutes) to "Park" the event. This will pause the event for the time given and put the event into the "Parked" queue at the bottom of the main alarm queue screen.
Once the timer expire OR a new alarm is triggered for the parked event it will automatically be returned to the main alarm queue to be processed by an operator. - Pass Event
If other people are logged in to the same event (see Event Sharing) , you will need to pass control to them before leaving. - Auto-Pass Event
Feature Required: Alarms>AutoPassAlarmOnLeave
If you leave a shared event and there is only one other remaining person active on the event, the alarm event can be automatically passed to that person without any extra action needed.
Example Leve Screenshots
Park event - if you select 'Leave' and there is no other operator in the event
Pass event - if you select 'Leave' while another operator is still in the event
End
Ending an event closes it out returning you to the page you opened site monitor from. To close an event, you must have acknowledged all alarms, you must not be waiting on any alarm restore signals, and there must not be any outstanding required actions. You must also have control of the event.
When you click Close, you will be prompted to provide an outcome category of the event. You can also enter a description of what took place.
Categories can be customised in the Event Category Setup Page
